Episode summary
1)Izzie straps on her waders and joins Annie and her friends to make a local wetland more attractive to turtles.
Learning Goals: Learn the basics about turtles, their habitats, and how to conduct a population study and communicate your findings. Also see how to combine that knowledge with design and engineering skills in an eco-friendly way.
2)Episode Synopsis: This series is aimed at inspiring tween girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. It opens with the real-life story of a wetland made more turtle-friendly by middle schoolers.
Fun and viewer review
Rachel, even though she doesn’t always understand what is going on in the show, still loves to watch the girls. She loved the episode where the girls went diving and counted fish populations.
